The Water Institute of South Africa.

Constitution

The Constitution provides for a Regulatory Board comprising members nominated by the participating bodies.

At this stage Certification as an EAP with the Board is voluntary.

The names of successful applicants are added to a Register of Certified EAPs.

Code of Ethics

A Code of Ethics has been established to guide the activities of certified environmental assessment practitioners.

This voluntary certification system is being estab-lished to uphold standards of the environmental assessment profession and ensure quality control and therefore the Code will be binding on all certified environmental assess-ment practitioners.

Code of Practice

All certified environmental assessment practitioners are required to follow the International Association for Impact Assessment South African Affiliate's Code of Practice, as revised from time to time.
